JCM MED now offers a new Safety IV cannula with a shielded tip to prevent needlestick injuries after removal of the needle from the catheter.

The TIPSAFE® catheter consists in :

– a protective shield that automatically neutralizes the bevel when the needle is withdrawn,

– a hub with a lateral injection site for additional injections.

– a universal triple bevel needle allowing different puncture angles (superficial or deep venous access),

– a polyurethane or PTFE cannula

– two wings to stabilize the device

– a transparent visualization chamber

– a hydrophobic filter that can be unfitted to allow the connection of a syringe or a luer connector to the reflux chamber

The device is available in both straight (one-way) and ported (port & wings) versions.
